The 1/2" S-1002NL No Lead Forged Brass Full Port Ball Valve features a gland follower design and is constructed from chrome-plated lead-free forged brass, UNS alloy C46400. This full port ball valve is designed to be bottom-loaded with a blowout-proof stem, equipped with PTFE packing gland and a forged brass packing nut. It includes durable PTFE seats and a self-cleaning forged brass ball, which is chrome-plated to resist scale build-up. The valve complies with several certifications and listings, including ANSI/NSF 61 for drinking water system components' health effects, ANSI/NSF 372 for lead content, ANSI Z21.15 for gas appliance connector valve for 1/2 lb. systems (1/2" to 2" NPT), ASME B16.44 for use in above ground gas piping systems up to 5 PSI (1/2" to 2" NPT), and ANSI/ASME B16.33 for gas piping systems up to 175 PSIG (1/2" to 2" NPT). It also meets the UL 2J73 standard for use with LP natural and manufactured gases and flammable liquids No. 6 oil at 250°F (1/2" to 2" NPT). Additional standards include MSS SP-110, ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 for general purpose pipe threads (inch), and ANSI/ASME B16.18 for cast copper alloy solder-joint pressure fittings.
