The 1/8" chrome brass mini ball valve (400 CWP) features a chrome-plated, one-piece barstock-type body that eliminates seam leaks typically found in two-piece body designs. This valve is ideal for gaugecock applications, as its lever handle does not obstruct the gauge face. It serves as a low-cost, full-port ball valve replacement for other valve types and can be installed in lieu of gate or stop valve designs, often outperforming them. The short-pattern body is suitable for confined piping installations where full-pattern ball valves may not fit. The valve is available in nominal pipe thread sizes of 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2", with configurations of FNPT x FNPT and MNPT x FNPT. Key attributes include threaded end connections that conform to ANSI / ASME B1.20.1, manufacturing in an ISO 9002 accredited facility, cold working pressure (CWP) of 400 CWP, and an unsuitable rating for steam service (WSP). The ball is made of chrome-plated forged brass per ASTM B124 UNS C377005.
