The 2-1/2 S-1002NL No Lead Forged Brass Full Port Ball Valve features a gland follower design and is constructed with a bottom-loaded, blowout-proof stem that incorporates PTFE packing gland and a forged brass packing nut for enhanced durability. It includes durable PTFE seats and a self-cleaning forged brass ball that is chrome-plated to resist scale build-up, made from chrome-plated lead-free forged brass, UNS alloy C46400. The valve is third-party certified to meet multiple standards, including ANSI/NSF 61 for drinking water system components related to health effects, ANSI/NSF 372 for lead content, ANSI Z21.15 for gas appliance connector valves suitable for 1/2 lb. systems (1/2" to 2" NPT), ASME B16.44 for above ground gas piping systems up to 5 PSI (1/2" to 2" NPT), ANSI/ASME B16.33 for gas piping systems rated up to 175 PSIG (1/2" to 2" NPT), and UL 2J73, which is applicable for use with LP natural and manufactured gases as well as flammable liquids No. 6 oil at temperatures up to 250°F (1/2" to 2" NPT). Additionally, it adheres to the standards MSS SP-110, ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 for general pipe threads, and ANSI/ASME B16.18 for cast copper alloy solder-joint pressure fittings.
