The 4" T-408 No Lead Brass Economy Gate Valve is designed for both residential and commercial potable water applications. It features a durable all-brass body construction paired with a heavy cast iron handwheel. The electric-induction furnace casting process optimizes molten brass temperatures, contributing to superior cast body and bonnet components. This valve includes an inserted bonnet with large stem packing and a forged packing nut, while its full-flow waterway reduces pressure drop, ensuring consistent flow. The non-rising stem design is compact and reliable, complemented by a solid, fully-guided disc-wedge that opens completely out of the flow path. The integral seats are precision-ground to match each disc-wedge. This product is third-party certified, meeting ANSI/NSF 61 standards for Drinking Water System Components Health Effects and NSF/ANSI 372 standards for Lead Content. Additionally, it complies with ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 for pipe threads and ANSI/ASME B16.18 for cast pressure alloy solder-joint pressure fittings.
