The 2-1/2" T-408 No Lead Brass Economy Gate Valve is designed for both residential and commercial potable water applications, featuring a durable all-brass body construction and a heavy cast iron handwheel. Its electric-induction furnace casting process optimizes molten brass temperatures, resulting in superior cast body and bonnet components. The valve includes an inserted bonnet with large stem packing and a forged packing nut, while its full-flow waterway reduces pressure drop, ensuring consistent flow. The non-rising stem design is both compact and reliable, and the solid, fully-guided disc-wedge opens completely out of the flow path. Integral seats are precision-ground to perfectly match each disc-wedge. The valve is third-party certified and complies with ANSI/NSF 61, which addresses drinking water system components health effects, as well as NSF/ANSI 372 for lead content. Additionally, it meets ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 for general-purpose pipe threads and ANSI/ASME B16.18 for cast pressure alloy solder-joint pressure fittings.
