The 3" T-408 No Lead Brass Economy Gate Valve is designed for both residential and commercial potable water applications, featuring a durable all-brass body construction and a heavy cast iron handwheel. The valve utilizes an electric-induction furnace casting process that optimizes molten brass temperatures, ensuring superior cast body and bonnet components. It includes an inserted bonnet with large stem packing and forged packing nut, while its full-flow waterway reduces pressure drop to maintain consistent flow. The non-rising stem design is both compact and reliable, with a solid, fully-guided disc-wedge that opens completely out of the flow path. Integral seats are precision-ground to match each disc-wedge. This valve is third-party certified and complies with ANSI/NSF 61 for drinking water system components health effects and NSF 372 for drinking water system components lead content. It meets the standards of ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 for pipe threads and ANSI/ASME B16.18 for cast pressure alloy solder-joint pressure fittings.
