The 1-1/4 T-408 No Lead Brass Economy Gate Valve is designed for both residential and commercial potable water applications, featuring a durable all-brass body construction and a heavy cast iron handwheel. The electric-induction furnace casting process optimizes molten brass temperatures, resulting in superior cast body and bonnet components. It includes an inserted bonnet with large stem packing and a forged packing nut, while its full-flow waterway helps reduce pressure drop, ensuring consistent flow. The non-rising stem design is compact and reliable, and the solid, fully-guided disc-wedge opens completely out of the flow path. Integral seats are precision-ground to match each disc-wedge. This valve comes with third-party certifications, including ANSI/NSF 61 for drinking water system components health effects and NSI/NSF 372 for drinking water system components lead content. It complies with ANSI/ASME B1.20.1, which pertains to general purpose pipe threads in inches, and ANSI/ASME B16.18, which specifies cast pressure alloy solder-joint pressure fittings.
