The 5/8" flare x 5/8" flare T-3000 forged brass gas valve features a patented one-piece forged brass body that eliminates the possibility of seam leaks commonly found in two-piece designs, making it ideal for all residential and commercial gas installations. The chrome plated ball and soft seats resist contamination build-up and provide a positive seal in low- or moderate-pressure gas applications. Its quarter-turn, ball-type design is more compact and superior to traditional cast bronze or cast iron gas cocks. With a 125 psi pressure rating, it allows for high-pressure air tests without the grease seal blowout typical of plug-type gas cocks. The valve is available in eight different configurations to accommodate all gas connection types, with a cold working pressure (CWP) of 125 psi and a BTU capacity of 479,700. It holds third-party certifications, including ANSI Z21.15 for gas appliance connector valves for lb. systems and ASME B16.44 for use in above ground gas piping systems up to 5 psi.
