The 3/8" flare x 1/2" MNPT T-3000 forged brass gas valve features a patented one-piece forged brass body that eliminates seam leaks often found in two-piece designs, making it suitable for both residential and commercial gas installations. It includes chrome plated ball and soft seats, which resist contamination build-up and provide a reliable seal in low- or moderate-pressure gas applications. This quarter-turn, ball-type valve boasts a forged brass design that is more compact and superior to traditional cast bronze or cast iron gas cocks, with a cold working pressure (CWP) of 125 PSI allowing for high-pressure air tests without the risk of grease seal blowout found in plug-type gas cocks. The valve has a BTU capacity of 88,900 and is available in eight configurations to accommodate various gas connection types. It is third-party certified and complies with ANSI Z21.15 for gas appliance connector valves in 1/2 lb. systems and ASME B16.44 for above ground gas piping systems up to 5 PSI, meeting standards set by ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 for general purpose pipe threads in inches.
