The 3/8" flare x 3/8" flare T-3000 forged brass gas valve is designed for both residential and commercial gas installations, featuring a patented one-piece forged brass body that eliminates seam leaks typically found in two-piece body designs. This valve has a chrome-plated ball and soft seats that resist contamination build-up, ensuring a positive seal in low- to moderate-pressure gas applications. The compact quarter-turn, ball-type design is more efficient compared to traditional cast bronze or cast iron gas cocks, and it has a cold working pressure (CWP) of 125 psi, making it suitable for high-pressure air tests without the risk of grease seal blowout associated with plug-type gas cocks. The valve has a BTU capacity of 102,800 and is available in eight different configurations to accommodate various gas connection types. It meets several certifications and listings, including ANSI Z21.15 for gas appliance connector valves in 1/2 lb. systems, and ASME B16.44 for use in above-ground gas piping systems up to 5 psi. Additionally, it conforms to ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 standards for general-purpose pipe threads.
