The 1/2" flare x 1/2" flare T-3000 forged brass gas valve features a patented one-piece forged brass body that eliminates the possibility of seam leaks common to two-piece body designs, making it ideal for both residential and commercial gas installations. It is equipped with chrome-plated ball and soft seats that resist contamination build-up, ensuring a positive seal in low- or moderate-pressure gas applications. The valve's quarter-turn, ball-type design is more compact and superior to traditional cast bronze or cast iron gas cocks. It has a pressure rating of 125 PSI, which allows for high-pressure air tests without the risk of grease seal blowouts typical of plug-type gas cocks, and boasts a BTU capacity of 109,600. The valve is available in eight different configurations to accommodate all gas connection types, and it complies with several certifications and standards, including third-party certification, ANSI Z21.15 for gas appliance connector valves for 1/2 lb. systems, ASME B16.44 for use in above-ground gas piping systems up to 5 PSI, and ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 for general-purpose pipe threads, inch. The cold working pressure (CWP) is rated at 125 PSI.
