The 3/8" flare x 1/2" FNPT T-3000 forged brass gas valve features a patented one-piece forged brass body that eliminates the possibility of seam leaks commonly found in two-piece body designs, making it ideal for both residential and commercial gas installations. Its chrome plated ball and soft seats resist contamination build-up, providing a positive seal in low- to moderate-pressure gas applications. The valve employs a quarter-turn, ball-type, forged brass design that is more compact and superior to traditional cast bronze or cast iron gas cocks, with a cold working pressure (CWP) of 125 PSI, allowing for high-pressure air tests without the risk of grease seal blowout. This valve accommodates BTU capacity of 88,900 and is available in eight different configurations to suit all gas connection types. It holds several certifications including ANSI Z21.15 for gas appliance connector valves for 1/2 lb. systems and ASME B16.44 for use in above ground gas piping systems up to 5 PSI, and complies with ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 for general purpose pipe threads.
