The 1/2" flare x 1/2 MNPT T-3000 forged brass gas valve features a patented one-piece forged brass body that eliminates the risk of seam leaks typical in two-piece body designs, making it ideal for both residential and commercial gas installations. It includes chrome plated ball and soft seats that resist contamination build-up and provide a positive seal in low- or moderate-pressure gas applications. The valve utilizes a quarter-turn, ball-type design that is more compact and superior to conventional cast bronze or cast iron gas cocks. It has a pressure rating of 125 PSI, which allows for high-pressure air tests without the risk of grease seal blowout associated with plug-type gas cocks. The valve is available in eight different configurations to accommodate all gas connection types, with a cold working pressure (CWP) of 125 PSI and a BTU capacity of 260,000. It is third-party certified and complies with ANSI Z21.15 for gas appliance connector valves for 1/2 lb. systems, as well as ASME B16.44 for use in above-ground gas piping systems up to 5 PSI.
