Caloritech™ GX Series heavy duty forced air unit heaters are specifically engineered for industrial environments, such as mine shafts, pulp and paper mills, hoist houses, welding shops, maintenance shops, sewage treatment plants, chemical plants, weigh scale pits, elevator shafts, and crane cabs. Designed for heavy duty use, these heaters feature a T'Stat with a 600V 3Ø 15kW heating capability, which varies based on conditions, and are suitable for electric fuel type applications. The hardwired systems are intended for indoor use and include a blower. They are CSA approved for both horizontal and vertical air flow and include an automatic reset high-limit feature. The heaters come in various sizes, including 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, and 50 kW units, with the 40 and 50 kW units incorporating split loads (50%) for remotely controlled energy management systems. The unit includes factory-installed transformers, contactors, and thermostats where specified, as well as individually adjustable louvres, a factory-balanced aluminum fan blade, and fan delay in on and off cycles. The full-sized control panel, constructed to EEMAC 12 standards, features a hinged removable door, continuous fan terminals for remote switch connections, and a 14-gauge steel cabinet that is epoxy painted (ASA61 grey) for superior corrosion resistance. Additionally, the units include a 1/3 hp motor with sealed ball bearings and totally enclosed construction, a ceiling mounting bracket, and a motor mounted outside of the element bundle to prevent premature failure due to overheating. The robust Caloritech™ type KX finned tubular sheathed elements are equipped with epoxy sealed terminals to eliminate contamination from moisture and airborne impurities. They also feature a built-in thermostat with a range of 41°F to 100°F (5°C to 38°C), a disconnect switch with door interlock, HRC main load fuses, a fused control circuit, a manual reset high limit, a continuous fan switch, and a low voltage relay.
