Caloritech™ GX Series heavy duty forced air unit heaters are specifically engineered for industrial environments, such as mine shafts, pulp & paper mills, hoist houses, welding shops, maintenance shops, sewage treatment plants, chemical plants, weigh scale pits, elevator shafts, and crane cabs. This heater features a heavy duty construction aimed at reducing downtime and maintenance costs associated with standard design heaters. The kit includes a heater with a T'stat, capable of 600V 3Ø with 15 kW heating capability that depends on conditions; electric fuel type; hardwired design; suitable for indoor use; and includes a blower. It is CSA approved for both horizontal and vertical air flow and incorporates an automatic reset high-limit feature. Available in units of 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, and 50 kW, the 40 and 50 kW models include split loads (50%) for energy management systems. Additional specifications include factory-installed transformers, contactors, and thermostats where specified; individually adjustable louvres; a factory-balanced aluminum fan blade; and fan delay in both on and off cycles. The full-sized control panel, compliant with EEMAC 12 standards, includes a hinged removable door, continuous fan terminals for remote switch connection, and a durable 14-gauge steel cabinet, which is epoxy painted (ASA61 Grey) for superior corrosion resistance. The unit is equipped with a 1/3 HP motor featuring sealed ball bearings and a totally enclosed construction, mounted outside the element bundle for easy access and to prevent overheating. Elements are robust Caloritech™ type KX finned tubular sheathed type with epoxy sealed terminals to eliminate contamination. Additional features include a built-in thermostat with a range of 41°F to 100°F (5°C to 38°C), a disconnect switch with door interlock, HRC main load fuses, a fused control circuit, a manual reset high limit, a continuous fan switch, and a low voltage relay.
