Product Details
Caloritech™ GX Series heavy duty forced air unit heaters are engineered for rugged use in industrial settings such as mine shafts, pulp & paper mills, hoist houses, welding shops, maintenance shops, sewage treatment plants, chemical plants, weigh scale pits, elevator shafts, and crane cabs. The kit includes a heavy duty forced air unit heater with a heating capability of 15kW, designed for 600V 3Ø electric fuel type and hardwired for indoor use. The package features a blower, CSA approval for both horizontal and vertical air flow, automatic reset high-limit, and options for 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, and 50 kW units. Notably, the 40 and 50 kW models incorporate split loads (50%) for compatibility with remotely controlled energy management systems. It also includes factory-installed transformers, contactors, and thermostats when specified, individually adjustable louvres, a factory-balanced aluminum fan blade, and fan delay in on and off cycles. The control panel is full-sized with a hinged removable door constructed to EEMAC 12 standards. Continuous fan terminals allow connection to a remote switch. The unit features a 14-gauge steel cabinet with epoxy paint (ASA61 grey) for superior corrosion resistance, a 1/3 HP motor with sealed ball bearings and totally enclosed construction, and a ceiling mounting bracket. The motor's location outside of the element bundle minimizes overheating risks and facilitates maintenance. The elements consist of robust Caloritech™ type KX finned tubular sheathed types with epoxy sealed terminals to prevent moisture and airborne contamination. The built-in thermostat operates between 41°F to 100°F (5°C to 38°C), accompanied by a disconnect switch with door interlock, HRC main load fuses, a fused control circuit, a manual reset high limit, a continuous fan switch, and a low voltage relay.
