It features a patented high temperature catalyst pad and operates on natural or propane fuel, with a range of cabinet sizes available. Models in the Cata-Dyne™ gas catalytic explosion-proof heater lineup have BTU ratings from 1,000 to 48,000 BTU/hr (0.3 kW to 14.0 kW). Additionally, the BX series with 'X' series catalytic pad is suitable for various spot or space heating applications involving hazardous materials, and is exclusively sold in the United States. With over a quarter of a million units in service over 40 years, Cata-Dyne™ heaters are recognized for their efficient conversion of hydrocarbon fuels to infrared energy and have an outstanding safety record.
