The Norseman® XB Series convection heater, with ratings up to 5000 watts, is specifically designed for heating spaces where explosive substances may be present, such as storage rooms for paints and cleaners, grain elevators, and gas plants. It is available with either CCSAUS or CE ATEX approvals, ensuring compliance with rigorous safety standards. This heater can be fitted with an externally adjustable thermostat and features a state-of-the-art design, including Thermon Heating Systems' unique copper-free aluminum extruded convector and patented X-MAX® terminal housing. The large convector surface area and high mass fins facilitate safe and efficient low-temperature heat transfer to the environment, while the black anodized finish resists oxidation and maximizes heat transfer. The X-MAX® housing is designed with multiple tapped conduit entries to ease installation, complemented by a track and trolley system and threaded covers for easy access to internal components. All models, except for the single heat sink units, include a built-in terminal block for simplified electrical connection. The Norseman® XB units are intended for vertical wall or floor mounting, with dual-purpose brackets and wire guards supplied as standard. The heaters are offered in models ranging from 47.5 to 5130W, with input voltages from 120 to 600V, and are CCSAUS approved for Class I, Division 1 & 2, Groups A, B, C & D; Class II, Division 1 & 2, Groups E, F, G; Class III, Division 1 & 2 at a temperature rating of T3C.
