The Norseman® XB series convection heater, with ratings up to 5000 watts, is designed for heating spaces where explosive substances are or may be present. The Norseman® XB is available with either CCSAUS or CE ATEX approvals. All units can be fitted with an externally adjustable thermostat. The heater features Thermon Heating Systems' unique copper-free aluminum extruded convector and patented X-MAX® terminal housing, ensuring safe and efficient low-temperature heat transfer to the environment. The large convector surface area and high mass fins contribute to its performance, while the black anodized finish resists oxidation and maximizes heat transfer. The X-MAX® housing includes multiple tapped conduit entries for installation convenience, and the track and trolley system with threaded covers at each end allows for easy access to internal components. All units, except the single heat sink versions, come equipped with a built-in terminal block for simplified electrical connection. The heater is intended for wall or floor mounting with a vertical orientation, and dual-purpose brackets for both mounting options and wire guards are supplied as standard. The Norseman® XB models range from 47.5 to 5130W and are available in voltage options from 120 to 600V, with CCSAUS approval for Class I, Division 1 & 2, Groups A, B, C & D; Class II, Division 1 & 2, Groups E, F, G; and Class III, Division 1 & 2 at a temperature code.
