The Norseman® XB Series convection heater, with ratings up to 5000 watts, is designed for heating spaces where explosive substances are or may be present. The unit is available with either CCSAUS or CE ATEX approvals and features an externally adjustable thermostat. The heater utilizes Thermon Heating Systems' unique copper-free aluminum extruded convector and patented X-MAX® terminal housing, ensuring a safe and reliable heating solution with a modern design. The large convector surface area and high mass fins promote efficient low-temperature heat transfer, while the black anodized finish aids in oxidation resistance and maximizes heat transfer. The X-MAX® housing includes multiple tapped conduit entries for installation ease, and a track and trolley system, along with threaded covers at each end, provide easy access to internal components. All units, except for the single heat sink units, are fitted with a built-in terminal block for simplified electrical connections. These heaters are intended for wall or floor mounting in a vertical position, and come with dual-purpose brackets for flexible installation along with standard wire guards. Key specifications include models ranging from 47.5 to 5130W and voltages from 120 to 600V, with CCSAUS approval for Class I, Division 1 & 2, Groups A, B, C & D; Class II, Division 1 & 2, Groups E, F, G; and Class III, Division 1 & 2 at a temperature code.
