For hazardous locations heating, the Ruffneck® CX1 ProVector® is designed by Thermon Heating Systems, Inc. to provide dependable, trouble-free service in demanding environments such as oil and gas well drilling. This explosion-proof air heater is constructed to endure harsh operating conditions, ensuring reliability. It features a sloped-top cabinet with no exposed copper or brass, high-velocity airflow, and a 14-gauge steel structure, which is also available in stainless-steel for enhanced corrosion resistance in H2S environments. With a compact design that minimizes wall and floor space usage, it boasts an industry-leading heating capability of up to 10 kW, quick installation, and reduced field installation costs. The heater includes Incoloy® 840 heating elements, radial-embossed aluminum plate fins, and galvanized steel mounting brackets. The unit operates on an electric fuel type, is hardwired, and is intended for indoor use, capable of heating areas efficiently depending on specific conditions. Certification approvals include Groups A, B, C, D; IIA, IIB & IIC; and it provides IP55 moisture ingress protection, ensuring compliance with industry safety and reliability standards. The operational temperature range is 36-82°F (2-28°C).
