Caloritech™ GE series regular duty forced air unit heaters are designed for regular duty industrial and commercial space heating applications, suitable for environments such as factories, warehouses, parking garages, boiler rooms, arenas, grandstands, mechanical rooms, shopping malls, and display areas. This heater features a forced air unit heater complete with a thermostat rated at 600V and 1/3 5kW, with a heating capability that depends on conditions (consult factory). It operates on electric fuel, is hardwired for indoor use, and includes a blower. The output ranges from 2 kW to 30 kW and accepts voltages from 208V to 600V, with the option to field convert from 1 to 3 phase. Key components include tubular heating elements, adjustable air flow louvres, permanently lubricated motors, overheat protection, and an 18-gauge steel cabinet finished with epoxy paint (ASA61 grey). The unit offers optional thermostats, controls, and wall brackets, with motors mounted externally. The heater is supplied with a ceiling mounting bracket and operates effectively within a temperature range of 40-100°F (5-40°C). Standard configurations for 2 to 10 kW heaters include dual rated motors at 208/240V single phase, while 15 to 30 kW heaters are equipped with single phase full voltage rated motors. All motors feature permanently lubricated bearings, built-in thermal overloads, and are totally enclosed ball bearing designs, with a standard motor speed of 1550 RPM. The motor specifications include 1/20 HP for 2 to 10 kW and 1/10 HP for 15 to 30 kW, along with other available ratings. Additionally, the heater incorporates a built-in thermostat with a temperature range of 41°F to 100°F (5°C to 38°C), a fused control circuit, and a manual reset high limit switch.
