Ruffneck™ HP heat exchanger unit heaters are designed for demanding industrial applications, featuring heavy-duty construction with a heavy gauge steel cabinet that meets rigorous service and longevity standards for space heating and liquid cooling. These heaters accommodate various heating fluids such as steam, hot water, glycol, and oil, with explosion-proof models available for hazardous environments. The units utilize standard Doerr/Emerson/Baldor motors, with possible longer lead times for alternative OEM motors. All heat exchangers are registered to C.R.N. OH0224.2C and are approved for use across all Canadian provinces and territories. The heaters boast epoxy-coated 14-gauge steel cabinet construction, tension wound close-fitting aluminum finned tubes, and 2" NPT female connections for easy core removal, with optional 2" (50 mm) 300# flanges or 2" NPT male connections. They include a full-enclosure fan guard with narrow spacing, are UL listed and/or CSA approved, and feature 50 or 60 hertz motors. The cabinet is made from epoxy powder-coated carbon steel, with heat-resistant aluminum paint for exchanger coatings. Heating capability is dependent on the conditions and should be consulted with the factory. The heaters are hardwired for electric fuel type, designed for indoor use, and come with a blower included. The tube outside diameter measures 0-5/8" (16 mm) with an average wall thickness of 1/16" (1-5/8 mm). The built-in disconnect feature is available only with CSA-certified heaters, and 460 1-phase motors are certified for groups D, F, and G, only in 16" and larger units.
