The Merit 304 stainless steel class 150 slip-on flange, measuring 6 inches in diameter, is designed for applications where cost and space are critical considerations. Slip-on flanges are preferred over weld neck flanges when these factors are prioritized. This flange is bored slightly larger than the pipe outer diameter (OD), allowing it to slip over the pipe before being aligned and welded into place.
