Bomb suppression blankets, also known as anti-explosive blankets, are essential for deploying over EOD and IEDD devices to minimize impact in the event of detonation. EDI-USA's bomb suppression blanket is engineered to securely dispose of suspicious explosive items in both public spaces and combat situations. The blanket can be staked into the ground, providing stability during operations, and is constructed from durable nylon for rugged, long-lasting use. It meets Level III-A (ambient) ballistic standards and STANAG 2920 (V50) fragmentation testing. Key features include carry handles and straps, an inner and outer safety circle (ballistic fence) designed to contain suspicious packages, a central relief vent hole (13" in diameter) that allows explosion energy to be directed upwards, and resistance to NIJ Level III-A threats and up to 70g of TNT. The lightweight and portable design of EDI-USA's bomb blanket enables effective suppression of blasts and fragmentation impacts from dangerous explosive threats, including improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and serves to isolate suspicious packages until a bomb squad arrives. The blanket is available in two different internal compositions of tightly compressed ballistic materials for user options.
