The Merit 316 SS Schedule 40 Reducing Tee is a 1" x 1" x 3/4" butt-weld female fitting. Butt welding is the most preferred method for joining pipe connections, requiring the pipe and fitting to have the same wall thickness and diameter. Both the pipe and fitting are beveled to enable the ends to butt together, creating a groove to hold the weld filler.
