The Elkay Universal Vandal-Resistant Filtration Kit is expertly crafted to integrate seamlessly into any non-filtered water cooler, fountain, or bottle filling station, regardless of brand. This advanced system includes the WaterSentry filter model 51299C, capable of purifying up to 1,500 gallons of water by effectively reducing lead, Class 1 particulates, and unpleasant chlorine taste and odor. For optimal performance, the filter should be replaced after every 1,500 gallons or annually, with increased frequency recommended for high-traffic areas such as schools and airports. Built with security in mind, the kit features a robust 20-gauge stainless steel enclosure that resists tampering and protects the filter from vandalism. Installation is made easy thanks to versatile mounting options that accommodate various plumbing setups, including side and bottom conduit punchouts as well as an open back for thru-wall plumbing (note that vandal-resistant conduit is not included). The system's LED filter status monitor and audio alerts ensure users are notified when it's time for a filter change, maintaining the water quality consistently.
