These extensions are stronger than steel while remaining exceptionally lightweight, featuring a stainless-steel thimble for optimal abrasion protection and resistance to rust and ice, making them suitable for all weather conditions. They include a Kevlar-protected tail, ensuring secure connections to winch lines. The synthetic fibers used have no memory, preventing kinking or flat spots, and in the event of an overload breakage, the line will not whip around dangerously, thus minimizing injury risks. All Nimbus™ synthetic winch line extensions boast a 3:1 design factor and a working load limit of 16,933 lbs. WLL, and they are proudly manufactured in the USA using high-quality HMPE fibers.
