The Forney® 250 amp spool gun is designed to enable virtually any MIG welder to weld aluminum, catering to both novice users and seasoned professionals. This lightweight and compact spool gun features an impressive 20-foot all-in-one power and gas cable, which provides an extensive working area. Optimized for Tweco style consumables and .035" wire, it accommodates a variety of wire diameters ranging from .030" (0.76 mm) to .047" (1.2 mm) and can weld materials from thin sheet metal to 1" thick plate. The spool gun's rated output is 200 amps at a 60% duty cycle, with a maximum output amperage of 250 amps (DC output only), and it operates on primary volts of 0-12 V. The wire feed speed reaches up to 1,000 inches per minute (IPM), and the entire unit measures 16" (406 mm) x 12" (304 mm) x 3.5" (89 mm) while weighing 11 lbs. (5.00 kg), including the cable. Its clear spool window allows users to easily monitor wire levels, and the wire feed speed control knob is ergonomically positioned for precise adjustments during use.
