The Forney® series of auto-darkening welding helmets are designed for the experienced do-it-yourselfer (DIY), light contractor, farmer, and rancher, providing easy-to-use technology, reliability, and value. These helmets feature HD optical clarity with True Color technology, enabling users to see clearly, resulting in precise welds. The lightweight, impact-resistant, fireproof shell includes a dual crown strap headgear with multi-directional adjustment for enhanced comfort, along with a quick-fit, 5-point adjustable geared headband equipped with a sweatband to minimize head, neck strain, and fatigue during extended use. The viewing area measures 5.97 square inches (3-5/8" x 1-5/8") and includes two optical arc sensors for protection against arc flash hazards, with a 1/1/1/2 optical clarity rating for a clear, uniform view. Additional features include an external shade selector knob with a grind option for quick shade modifications and internal controls for sensitivity (high-low) and delay (min-max) to minimize accidental adjustments. The variable shade selection ranges from DIN 9 to 13 and is TIG operable to 5 amps, with a rapid switch response time of 1/25,000 per second.
