The Americana® climbing wind type II helmet is designed for optimum safety and comfort, featuring a Mega Ratchet® 4-point suspension system that allows for one-handed adjustments, even when wearing gloves. Weighing just 13 oz., this lightweight helmet ensures all-day comfort. It includes a durable 4-point chin strap made of nylon with woven webbing and slider size adjustments, complemented by a deluxe chin guard. The helmet's short peak brim enhances vertical field of view for improved safety, while its vented design helps keep the user cool throughout the day. The 4-point black nylon suspension, which can accommodate head sizes from 6-1/2 to 8, is designed to conceal sweat and dirt discoloration. Key features include a moisture-wicking brow pad that is removable, washable, and replaceable, goggle retaining slots on the suspension, and compatibility with the I-675R replacement suspension. The helmet meets the low temperature (LT) option of the Z89.1 standard and is SEI certified to CAN/CSA Z94.1-2015 (R2020) - type II class C. It adheres to USA standards by the American National Standards Institute, specifically ANSI-ISEA Z89.1:2014, providing type II impact protection and class C electrical protection.
