The Mega Ratchet® climbing helmet features a 4-point suspension system that allows for one-handed adjustments, even when wearing gloves, and is lightweight at just 13 oz., ensuring all-day comfort. Designed with a short peak brim for an improved vertical field of view, it enhances safety while also including a durable 4-point chin strap made from nylon with woven webbing and slider size adjustments, complemented by a deluxe chin guard. The helmet remains comfortable throughout the day with its vented design and the Mega Ratchet® one-hand tightening system that facilitates easy adjustments without the need to remove other equipment. It boasts a new black 4-point woven nylon suspension with a low profile and includes a moisture-wicking brow pad that is removable, washable, and replaceable. The helmet meets the low temperature (LT) option of the Z89.1 standard and has goggle retaining slots on the suspension. Each carton contains 12 helmets, and it is compatible with the I-675R replacement suspension. The helmet is SEI certified to CAN/CSA Z94.1-2015 (R2020) - type II class C. It complies with USA standards, including ANSI-ISEA Z89.1:2014 for industrial head protection, offering type II impact protection which includes energy attenuation and off-center penetration, while class C indicates that it is conductive and not electrically tested.
