The Americana® climbing peak Type II helmet features a Mega Ratchet® 4 point suspension system that allows for one-handed adjustment, accommodating wearers with or without gloves. Weighing only 13 oz., it provides all-day comfort, and its short peak brim enhances the vertical field of view for improved safety. The helmet includes a durable nylon 4-point chin strap with woven webbing, slider size adjustments, and a deluxe chin guard. The black 4-point woven nylon suspension is designed in a low profile, ensuring secure and comfortable wear while masking discoloration from sweat and dirt. It is compatible with the I-675R replacement suspension and includes a removable, washable, and replaceable moisture-wicking brow pad. The helmet meets the low temperature (LT) option of the Z89.1 standard and features goggle retaining slots on the suspension. The Mega Ratchet® size adjustment accommodates head sizes ranging from 6-1/2 to 8. The helmet is SEI certified to CAN/CSA Z94.1-2015 (R2020) and offers Class G and Class E electrical protection, having been proof-tested at 2,200V and 20,000V, respectively. Additionally, it provides Type II impact protection, including features for impact energy attenuation and off-center penetration, along with chin loops for added security. Each carton contains 12 helmets.
