The R1630 is a compact light meter designed for both stand-alone usage and integration with the Reed Smart Series app, available for Android and iOS. This device measures light intensity up to 100,000 lux (9290 fc) and features an integrated 1.3" display, providing flexibility for operation without a mobile device. It includes a magnetic backing for mounting on metallic surfaces, a data hold function, low battery indicator, and auto shut off, as well as a tripod mount for extended monitoring. Battery life is approximately 50 hours, depending on sampling time, and it supports up to 6 connected devices with a maximum operating altitude of 6561 feet (2000 m). The operating temperature ranges from -4 to 140°F (-20 to 60°C) and the humidity range is 10 to 90%. When connected to the Reed Smart Series app, the R1630 functions as a real-time data logger with a user-selectable sampling rate from 1 to 120 seconds. It utilizes Bluetooth® 5.0 for connectivity with instruments up to 246 feet (75 m) away, allowing simultaneous connection and data logging of up to 6 instruments, with easy setup and automatic app integration for compatible devices. Users can export data in Excel or PDF formats and generate custom reports directly from their mobile devices. The kit includes the light meter and 4 x AAA batteries.
