Product Details
This lightweight, durable, and easy-to-use solar power meter is essential for maximizing the efficiency of solar panel systems. The digital display provides real-time data on the amount of energy being received by solar panels, making it easy to monitor performance, identify or troubleshoot issues, and track progress. The R8180 features a high-precision sensor, data hold, and min/max functions and is ideal for use by solar panel installers and maintenance teams. It measures the solar power and transmission up to 2000W/m² and 634BTU/(ft²·h), with a user-selectable display showing either W/m² or BTU/(ft²·h). Key features include max/min and data hold functions, an overrange indicator, a low battery indicator, and auto shut-off. The kit includes a sensor cap, carrying case, and a 9V battery. Accuracy is ±10W/m² or ±3BTU/(ft²·h), or ±5%, whichever is greater in sunlight, with an additional temperature included error of ±0.38W/m²/°C and ±0.12BTU/(ft²·h)/°F (°C) from 77°F (25°C). The device operates within a temperature range of 41 to 104°F (5 to 40°C) and has a storage temperature range of 14 to 140°F (-10 to 60°C) with an operating humidity range of 10 to 80%. Applications include calculation and verification of heating or heat reduction in windows caused by direct sunlight, solar radiation measurements, solar power research, and usage in physics and optical laboratories, meteorology, and agriculture.
