The R1640 is a 2-channel compact thermocouple thermometer suitable for stand-alone use or compatibility with the Reed Smart Series app, which is available on Android and iOS devices. This thermometer features the ability to display two temperature measurements simultaneously and is designed for easy one-hand operation. It includes an integrated 1.3" display for flexibility in use without a mobile device and has a magnetic backing for convenient mounting on metallic surfaces. Additional features include a data hold function, user-selectable temperature units (°C or °F), a low battery indicator with auto shut off, and a tripod mount for long-term monitoring. The battery life is approximately 50 hours, contingent on sampling time, and it can connect up to six devices with a maximum operating altitude of 6561 feet (2000 meters). The operating temperature ranges from 32 to 104°F (0 to 40°C), while the storage temperature varies from -4 to 140°F (-20 to 60°C). Both operating and storage humidity ranges are from 10 to 90%. When utilized with the Reed Smart Series app, the R1640 functions as a real-time data logger with a user-selectable sampling rate from 1 to 120 seconds. It employs Bluetooth 5.0 technology for connectivity with instruments up to 246 feet (75 meters) away and allows connection, measurement, and data logging of up to six instruments simultaneously. The setup process is simplified with automatic app integration for compatible instruments, and data can be exported via Excel or PDF for custom reports that can be emailed from a mobile device.
