The Werner® Bantam™ Switch is a self-retracting lifeline (SRL) that advances safety and comfort by connecting the housing unit directly to the anchor point rather than the harness's D-ring. This model, the Werner® R530806-SR Bantam™ Switch, features a 6-foot working length and single leg construction with a rebar hook. Its lightweight and compact design utilizes UHMWPE webbing that is 3/4 inches wide by 1/16 inches thick, ensuring a minimized fall arrest distance of less than 32 inches while keeping average arrest forces below 900 lb. The thermoplastic housing incorporates an omni-directional rebar hook which allows for the dorsal D-ring to remain accessible for additional equipment or rescue tasks. It also includes an integrated backpack-style energy absorber. This product meets ANSI Z359.14-2021, Class 1 requirements and complies with OSHA standards, accommodating a weight capacity of 90-400 lbs.
