The Werner® Bantam™ Switch is a groundbreaking self-retracting lifeline (SRL) designed for enhanced safety and user comfort. This model, the Werner® R530806-SR Bantam™ Switch, features a 6-foot working length and twin leg construction with a rebar hook. Its lightweight and compact design, utilizing UHMWPE webbing that measures 3/4 inches wide by 1/16 inches thick, minimizes fall arrest distance to less than 32 inches while maintaining average arrest forces below 900 lb. The thermoplastic housing includes an omni-directional swivel that reduces line twists and a small rebar hook that keeps the dorsal D-ring open for additional equipment or rescue operations. Furthermore, this SRL is equipped with an integrated backpack style energy absorber and meets ANSI Z359.14-2021, Class 1 requirements, as well as OSHA standards. The weight capacity for this device ranges from 90 to 400 lbs.
