The 8 Cal DRIFIRE® FR coverall is designed to keep the wearer compliant and comfortable with its breathable FR fabric and a two-way zipper front closure for easy entry. This coverall features a seven-pocket design, including two chest pockets with flaps and pass-through side pockets with snaps, ensuring that essential items are easily accessible. Constructed from 5.5 oz. TECGEN SELECT® OPF blend twill, it provides dual hazard protection against arc flash and flash fire while maintaining a contoured silhouette with an elastic waistband for added comfort. The inherently flame-resistant material offers FR protection that will not wash or wear out, and its lightweight, breathable fabric ensures superior moisture wicking and drying rates. Compliance standards met include arc rating of 8 cal/cm², Cat level 2, NFPA 70E, NFPA 2112, CSA Z462, ASTM F1506, and OSHA 1910.269. Product care instructions advise against the use of chlorine bleach, hydrogen peroxide, or fabric softeners, and recommend dry cleaning, turning the garment inside out before laundering, and machine washing warm (max. 140°F / 60°C) followed by tumble drying warm. Proper washing is essential to remove contaminants such as dirt, greases, and oils, and if contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is best to discontinue use of the garment.
