The 8 Cal DRIFIRE® FR coverall is designed to ensure compliance and comfort for the wearer, featuring breathable FR fabric and a two-way zipper front closure for easy entry. The coverall includes a seven-pocket design with two chest pockets that have flaps and pass-through side pockets with snaps for convenient storage of essential items. Key attributes include a contoured silhouette with an elastic waistband, a lightweight and breathable 5.5 oz. TECGEN SELECT® OPF blend twill material that offers dual hazard protection against arc flash and flash fire, and a moisture-wicking capability with an unsurpassed drying rate. The coverall is inherently flame resistant, meaning the FR protection will not wash or wear out. Compliance specifications include an arc rating of 8 cal/cm², Category 2 according to NFPA standards, and certifications such as NFPA 70E, NFPA 2112, CSA Z462, ASTM F1506, and OSHA 1910.269. For product care, it is advised not to use chlorine bleach, hydrogen peroxide, or fabric softeners. The coverall is dry cleanable and should be laundered by turning it inside out, washing in warm water (maximum 140°F / 60°C), and tumble drying on a warm setting. Proper washing is essential to maintain fabric performance and to remove contaminants like dirt, grease, and oils, with the recommendation to discontinue use if contaminants cannot be effectively removed.
