Super Wear Heavy Abrasion Specialty Welding Electrodes are designed for applications that demand high durability due to significant impact and medium abrasion. The electrodes feature a special formula that eliminates worm tracking type porosity typical of this alloy group and are heat treatable. The product specifications include a hardness rating of Rockwell C58-62 and Vickers 670-700, with a recommended polarity of DC Reverse (+) or AC. Each electrode has a diameter of 5/32", a length of 14", and weighs 1 lb (0.453 kg), with an amperage range of 160-200. These electrodes can be utilized in flat and horizontal welding positions and are best applied using a stringer or wide weave technique, depositing a maximum of 2 to 3 passes to achieve full hardness.
