Laminated bumpers are a durable method for protecting docks in low to medium traffic applications. They are designed for use in loading docks in factories and warehouses, and can also serve as rub rails at the sides of truck wells. The customized construction features accommodate unusual anchoring conditions, such as flat plates on one side for welding to dock leveler curb angles. These bumpers provide wall protection to absorb impacts from forklifts and are made from fabric reinforced rubber pads cut from recycled truck tires, with the rubber pads laminated between steel angles and secured with 3/4" (19mm) rods. The bumpers are fastened to the dock surface using 3/8" (9.5mm) steel angles and/or flat plates depending on the chosen model, and the wall mounting hole size is 7/8" (22mm) in diameter. They can be installed in either a horizontal or vertical orientation, with vertical installation generally offering the best protection. The standard model includes angles on both sides for anchoring, while Econo bumpers are backed by a 3-month replacement warranty.
