Laminated bumpers provide a robust solution for protecting docks in low to medium traffic applications, making them ideal for use in loading docks within factories and warehouses. These bumpers can also serve as rub rails at the sides of truck wells. The customized construction features allow for accommodation of unusual anchoring conditions, such as a flat plate on one side for welding to the dock leveler curb angle. Designed to absorb impacts from forklifts, the bumpers consist of fabric reinforced rubber pads that are cut from recycled truck tires. The rubber pads are laminated between steel angles and secured with 3/4" (19mm) rods, while the bumper is fastened to the dock surface using 3/8" (9.5mm) steel angles and/or flat plates, depending on the selected model. Each bumper includes a wall mounting hole with a size of 7/8" (22mm) diameter and can be installed horizontally or vertically, with the vertical orientation generally providing better protection. The standard model features angles on both sides for anchoring, and Econo bumpers are backed by a 3-month replacement warranty.
