Laminated bumpers are a durable method for protecting docks in low to medium traffic applications, specifically designed for use in loading docks in factories and warehouses. They can be utilized as rub rails at the sides of truck wells, with customized construction features to accommodate unusual anchoring conditions, such as a flat plate on one side for welding to a dock leveler curb angle. The wall protection system is designed to absorb forklift impacts, utilizing fabric reinforced rubber pads cut from recycled truck tires. These rubber pads are laminated between steel angles and secured with 3/4" (19mm) rods. The bumper is fastened to the dock surface using 3/8" (9.5mm) steel angles and/or flat plates, depending on the chosen model, and features wall mounting holes with a diameter of 7/8" (22mm). The bumper can be installed horizontally or vertically, with the vertical orientation generally providing the best protection. The standard model includes angles on both sides for anchoring, and Econo bumpers are covered by a 3-month replacement warranty.
