All Brimstone blankets, misters, and bags are proudly made in the USA and are intended for use in the event of an electric or standard vehicle fire. The kit includes a mister with dimensions of approximately 12 lbs in weight, a low profile clearance of 2-1/4" tall at the mister head, and an assembled length of 92". The water mister features a 6" diameter "no tip" spray head equipped with 15 individual omni-directional mist nozzles that deliver true fire-fighting droplets measuring less than 1,000 microns. It includes a valve pipe length with a twist to open valve and an "always active" universal swivel, along with three standard pipe lengths, each having large threading for ease of assembly. The hose connection is fitted with a 1-1/2" forestry lug fitting that is compatible with US fire hoses and trucks. An in-line mesh/filter sleeve is provided, and the mister comes in a carry and deployment-friendly high visibility bag, along with a zippered hard case designed for extra gaskets, in-line screens, and/or spanner wrenches. The mister operates at 100 PSI at the head, delivering a 10 GPM low-flow water mist spray directly to the vehicle's undercarriage to cool the chassis, effectively pulling heat away from battery modules to shut down thermal runaway events. Tests validate that the mister's low-flow rate is as effective as high-flow models, while also conserving water resources and reducing toxic runoff. The fine mist can help mitigate vapor cloud ignitions underneath the EV blanket and, when used in conjunction with the EV blanket, helps provide containment and protection by depriving the fire of oxygen, thus suppressing flames and lowering temperature while decreasing smoke.
