The Ultra-Grate Guard®, sediment only model, is designed to catch sediment, oil, silt, debris, and other runoff before they enter waterways. Measuring 36" x 36", this high-flow model features no overflows and is specifically for use with flat grate catch basins. The guard slides onto the storm drain's grate and is secured with heavy-duty hook and loop fasteners, allowing for easy installation. Once installed, sediment, dirt, silt, and other pollutants can be easily removed with a broom, flat shovel, or similar tool without the need to remove the grating, keeping maintenance at street level. This design is especially valuable on construction sites and other areas with large amounts of pollutants.
