JET® SSC Series electric hoists are designed for safety and durability in commercial and industrial applications. Each model features a slip clutch overload protection mechanism to prevent lifting loads beyond its rated capacity, available in single or three-phase configurations. Single-phase models include a thermal overload protection design, while three-phase models are equipped with a reverse phase relay to prevent incorrect wiring. The DC electromagnetic brake provides additional safety by holding the load during power interruptions, and the maintenance-free gear train utilizes a sealed oil bath for enhanced reliability. The hoists come with capacities ranging from 1/2-ton to 5-ton and standard lift heights of 10, 15, and 20 feet, with custom lift options available. Key features include a 24-volt push button controller with a cable strain relief system, all-steel construction, NEMA 4X compliant push button control pendants, a durable powder coat finish, Grade 80 black oxide coated load chain for durability, upper and lower limit switches for increased safety, and a duty cycle of 25%. The load capacity is 1/2 tons, and the prewired 230V motor current is 8 amps.
