The Jet® SSC series electric hoists are engineered for safety and durability, making them suitable for both commercial and industrial applications. Each model features a slip clutch overload protection mechanism designed to prevent the hoist from lifting damaging loads above its rated capacity. Available in single or three-phase configurations, the single-phase models incorporate thermal overload protection to prevent overheating, while the three-phase models are equipped with a reverse phase relay that safeguards against incorrect wiring. Key features include an industry-proven DC electromagnetic brake that maintains load stability during power interruptions, a maintenance-free gear train with a sealed oil bath for enhanced reliability, and an all-steel construction with a durable powder coat finish. The hoists come with NEMA 4X compliant push button control pendants and feature a Grade 80 black oxide coated load chain. Additional safety measures include upper and lower limiting switches to prevent over-travel of the load chain, and a push button controller with a cable strain relief system for increased durability. The hoists are available in capacities ranging from 1/2 ton to 5 tons, with standard lift heights of 10, 15, and 20 feet available, as well as custom lift options. Specifications include a duty cycle of 30%, a load capacity of 3 tons, a prewired voltage of 460V, and a motor current of 16 amps.
