The Jet® SSC Series electric hoists are designed for commercial and industrial applications, featuring a slip clutch overload protection mechanism that prevents lifting loads exceeding their rated capacity. Available in single or three-phase configurations, these hoists include thermal overload protection in single-phase models to prevent overheating, while three-phase models are equipped with a reverse phase relay to safeguard against incorrect wiring. The hoists utilize a DC electromagnetic brake for enhanced safety, ensuring loads remain secure even during power interruptions. Constructed from all steel materials, they have a durable powder coat finish and NEMA 4X compliant push button control pendants. The hoists come with a 24-volt push button controller featuring a cable strain relief system. They also include a Grade 80 black oxide coated load chain, upper and lower limit switches to prevent over-traveling, and a maintenance-free gear train that operates with a sealed oil bath. The Jet® SSC Series electric hoists support capacities ranging from 1/2 ton to 5 tons, with standard lift options of 10, 15, or 20 feet, and a duty cycle of 25%. The specifications include a load capacity of 2 tons and prewired 230V motor current of 16 amps.
