The PL-2080 industrial lathe features a robust construction with a base made from 100% cast iron, ensuring it holds exacting tolerances even under demanding conditions. It is powered by a 15 HP motor that operates on 220-volt 3-phase power and offers 12 speeds ranging from 20 to 1,500 RPM. This lathe is capable of making both metric and standard threads and includes a factory-installed Mitutoyo® 2-axis digital readout (DRO) system for precise results. The polished ways are designed with integrated wipers for smooth movement, while the square indexing tool post adds versatility. Its lathe body utilizes the best iron castings for a rigid and stable platform, featuring fully integrated cast pieces with the headstock for tight joints. This unit requires no assembly and comes standard with a 3-jaw universal chuck (12"), a 10" back plate, a micrometer saddle stop, a steady rest, a follow rest, and longitudinal rapid traverse. Additional attributes include a headstock chuck guard with an automatic safety switch, a coolant system equipped with a rear splash guard, a halogen work light, and an emergency foot brake.
